Westport First Graders Visit Library
Mrs. Welch’s first grade class recently paid a visit to the Westport Library’s Children’s Room. They all received an autographed copy of local author Sheri Amsel’s “A Wetland Walk” as well as new library cards. This new five-year initiative was made possible by a gift in memory of Gertrude and Abraham Wolf. The first grader’s have since donated a children’s book to the library and they each sent us a thank you card. The book and cards are on display near the circulation desk.

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

The west entrance to the library (on Harris Lane) has recently been enhanced by the addition of a new bench. Not only does the bench provide a comfortable place from which to access Wi-Fi when the library is closed, it is also a pleasant spot for a rest and contemplation at anytime. And the location is perfect: just outside the library door and sheltered on the porch.
Next time you are in the neighborhood why not take a break, sit for a time, and enjoy.
