Loan periods:

Renewing items:

If no one has requested the library item you have out on loan, and you haven’t exceeded that particular item’s renewal limit, you may renew the item by any of the following methods:

• In person:
  Just bring the book to the library during open hours and request that it be renewed.
• By phone:
  Phone the library during open hours and talk to one of the library’s friendly staff. They’ll be happy to help you renew your books. Phone (518) 962-8219
• Online catalog:
  Log into your account online and renew from there. You will need your 14 digit library card number (on the back of your library card) and your 4 digit PIN number. If you don’t have a PIN number, contact the library and the staff will issue you one.

These last two methods are last resorts, for sure, but sometimes that’s just what is needed.

Requesting items:

If an item you desire is checked out to another person, you can request that the item be automatically held for you when it is returned. This request system operates on a first request, first served basis.

Fee schedule:

• Overdue items incur a fine of $0.10 per day up to a maximum of $5.00 per item.
• Lost or damaged items incur a replacement cost plus any processing fees.
• Copies and printing costs $0.20 per page.
• Sending faxes costs $1.00 for the first five pages plus an additional $0.50 per page for every page after the first five.
• Receiving faxes costs $0.20 per page.
